Les élèves se retrouvent à l’école avec des journées où aucune activité n’est organisée.
Pour les élèves du secondaire de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, les cartables sont déjà rangés bien que la fin officielle de l’année scolaire est fixée au 4 juillet. Hormis la remise des bulletins, la semaine prochaine, plus aucune activité n’est prévue dans les écoles, ce qui donne lieu à une longue période appelée les « jours blancs ». Cette parenthèse dans le calendrier va être réduite d’un tiers d’ici la rentrée 2026.
Ce qui est prévu
Le nombre de jours scolaires sera maintenu à 180 avec une diminution des jours blancs soit entre 3 et 9 jours de cours en plus. On passerait alors, pour l’enseignement secondaire de 18 à 12 jours pour le degré inférieur, et de 27 à 18 jours pour le supérieur.
On parle également de rallonger de deux jours l’année avec l’obligation d’accueillir les élèves jusqu’au dernier jour. Il y aura également en début et en fin d’année un contrôle de la fréquentation des élèves. Si les établissements scolaires ne respectent pas ces nouvelles règles, ils seront exposés à des sanctions.
En maternelle, il n’y a aucun jour blanc. Dans le primaire, pour les élèves de la première à la quatrième, les cinq jours blancs qui existent déjà seront maintenus. Pour les cinquièmes et sixièmes, le nombre de jours blancs est fixé à 5 depuis 2022.
